We picniced next to the Rio Grande (on the U.S. side) at what appears to be a common illegal crossing point. For dessert we had a visit from the Border Patrol!

21 miles down a dirt "named and mapped" road there was a private gate across the road so we found a dry wash in which to stop and have a sandwich. Sheri did a little rock hounding there and then we turned around and drove the 21 miles back to town.
